When it comes to Fuorisalone, Porta Venezia is a trendy district that always deserves a visit. Not only many artistic studios are open, but there are also other events happening in its surrounds. For example, Porta Monforte is not an official Fuorisalone district, but is next to Porta Venezia and also offers inspiring installations. COS is heading to a new location for its seventh Milan showcase. In the courtyard of Palazzo Isimbardi, they have invited Palm Springs-based artist Phillip K Smith to create a sculptural installation that was inspired by Italian Renaissance architecture and the sky in Milan, while keeping in line with COS’ minimalist design dialogue. ‘Characterised by ever-changing spatial and temporal elements, every visitor’s experience of the installation will be entirely individual’ says Smith.
